Yes you were right to look more closely at Short Oval Racing. Short Circuit Magazine will give you a complete rundown of all the various tracks and activities,their website can be found at "www.shortcircuitmag.com". For enthusiasts who like pure non contact racing can I recommend Grand Prix Midgets, the fastest open wheel formula on the small ovals. The website is "gpmidgets.co.uk" and they are well worth a close look. For would be drivers, especially those bought up on the pay pay pay outlook of road racers it is a revelation, with cars available from as little as £2000 ready to race, and with no entry fees a realistic budget for a season of approximately 20 races is only £2000-2500, a bargain for 130 bhp single seater racing. Look closer at oval racing it is far more widespread and varied than you think.
