Not sure if it's possible to completely change all the sets of wishbones to effectively make a wider track 97 but I think the mounting points are differently spaced.

You are dead right James, the 98 wishbones do not fit a 97. I saw an advert on racecars direct sometime ago for 98 tatuus w/bones. Bearing in mind that we make them, we couldn't recognise any of the items in the photographs.
