Just dug out the 85 and 86 Bathurst annuals for details of the Australian GTV6s. If I've read this correctly, there were 4 Group A cars:
  1. Network Alfa (official Alfa Romeo Australia entry). RHD. Built 1984 as a Group E Production racer for Colin Bond, converted to Group A for Bathurst 84, and used by Bond in the 1985 ATCC, in yellow 'Montrose Wines' livery. Sold to Sydney exotic car specialists 'The Toy Shop', then reappeared as Network Alfa's 2nd car for Bathurst 86, in blue 'Pye' colours for car owner Warwick Rooklyn and Lucio Cesario
  2. Network Alfa. Yellow 'Ignis' livery. LHD Ex-Luigi Racing car imported for the 1985 ATCC- raced by Alan Jones in the early season rounds, then used by Bond/Gregg Hansford in the endurance races, and Bathurst (8th o/a and class win). Written off at Surfers Paradise a month or so later.
  3. Network Alfa. Yellow 'Ignis' livery. RHD Replacement car for the 1986 season, built up from a new shell and what could be salvaged from the Luigi car. Used by Bond in the '86 ATCC and Bond/Peter Fitzgerald at Bathurst http://www.racingheritage.com.au/1020.aspx
  4. Ray Gulson- RHD, originally an Alfa Romeo Australia test car, then raced at two Bathursts in Group C form by Canberra Alfa dealer Gulson. Converted to Group A, and had 3 further Bathurst starts for Gulson 1984-6. Black/Red/Yellow 'Dulux Autocolours/The Battery Factory' colours. Think this been mentioned several times in the 'Group A/C- Where are they now?' thread on the Aussie tourers part of the forum- recently advertised: for sale http://www.racingheritage.com.au/1016.aspx
