My notes tell me that the Jerry Mahony Arquati RS500 was run by Roger Dowson, who, as I have now learned, was involved with the Austin Rover Sport MG Metro Turbo programme of 1983-1984.
The Bob Sands RS500 has been identified on the RS500 forums as a CC Motorsport entry. As David Cook ran the 1989 Vauxhall Astra GTE BTCC campain, would that mean that 1988 was the final year of CC Motorsport?

Jesper, whether it helps much I don't know but i've added a few things in bold for you. The opening round was held on the old club circuit, which was quite rare for the BTCC!
I think you are right about the Sands CC car. It didn't do the whole season, in fact I think it withdrew after the first handful of rounds. Anyone confirm this?
