Garcia is his mothers maiden name, and sometimes he used both names, sometimes one or the other. Garcia is apparently a common name like smith in the uk.

Lorenzo's car was UK reg'd Q367 PDE and was the ex-Geoff Underhill blue / white car, which Geoff used in rallying and at the 1988 Birmingham Superprix...
