It needs more than just putting ego's aside, it needs recognising the problems within the administration and fixing that first, its not just ST that have had problems but the first to do something about it.
It appears ST are doing their own thing and so far quite sucessfully. Do they need MSNZ ?
To work together there needs to be a benefit to both classes, so far I can only see a benefit to one, the one who is currently suffering from bad PR.
