It's hardly a surprise that Gilham isn't there though. Holland is in the second of his agreed meetings, and Thorney themselves had already withdrawn the car - it was a bonus to see Gilham in the seat at Snetterton.

Aside from extra fuel to drive north, what additional costs are incurred over a meeting at somewhere like Croft?
