Classic Formula Ford were at Lydden in 1993 and 1994 - my only two visits to the venue.
Malcolm Barfoot Crossle 25F won in March 1993 [and also did the Champ of Lydden - or whatever it was called - with the more modern cars winning that championship in the process, as McLaren wouldn't allow any more racing that year.)
I recall he was in the low 44s'
Richard Peacock then won the 1994 race in a Royale RP21. I'm almost certain he did a 44.0s.
I've looked at fastest laps since then in the comics, or (MST) TSL and recall seeing 43s'
