Ah, that is indeed the case Maxi, but this press release came out today and was from the NZV8 Touring Car people rather than the ST camp. NZV8 Touring Cars are 100% owned by Motorsport New Zealand.
That is quite a position change from what some had said a week ago, particularly with regard to the NZGP round. I must say that unless they combine them into one race at the V8SC, fans will be up for quite a lot of the same old same old that weekend.
