I've heard the heat race idea from others too. I am totally against this as heat races are for the smaller series, not for the big three, IMHO. Maybe a one off, special event would be interesting, but save the gimmicks for the All-Star / Shootout nonsense.
But agreed, they should ban / shorten races at the D-shape ovals.
