So apart from the independently wealthy, how do other drivers fund their GT race season? Do they expense it through the company books under advertising or client entertainment? I bet the tax man loves that! Or do they somehow get sponsorship - so who wants to sponsor some random middle aged bloke who likes to go racing?! I'd hazard a guess the guys in MX5s are quicker drivers than some of those racing GTs on telly. That's the trouble with motorsport - ability to find comes ahead of ability to drive, seemingly right up to and including F1. Is this a fair comment?
