That much? They won't catch at all!

Btw, something I noticed is how Fuji delludes us regarding GT500's speeds. It's a very unique layout with a 1.6km straight(SGT have ~100HP more than Porsche LMP1 ICE) and, mostly, slow corners(due to SGT shorter stints, their tires are softer, thus having another advantage there).

At Fuji, GT500's pole record gap to F1 2008 best QLF time is only 10s(113%)

At Suzuka, we don't know exactly how fast an F1 2008 car would be but we can have a good idea based on the F1 2008's typical(in a few tracks the F1 2008s were faster on QLF but most of the time the 2006 ones were faster) QLF gap to F1 2006 being no more than 1s slower. So, a best QLF time, at Suzuka, for an F1 2008 car, can be assumed to be around 1.30.0.

GT500's pole record gap to this lap time is 17.5s(119%)

This can also be corroborated by comparing with exact lap times from Super Formula. At Suzuka, GT500's pole record gap to Super Formula's pole record is 10.5s(111%) while, at Fuji, it's 5s(106%)

This idea of even GT500 being close to LMP1(equal to the LMP1-P while LMP1-H are on Super Formula speed) is wrong! The gap of 5s is only at Fuji, on a normal track(especially one with lot's of high speed corners), LMP1-Hs would trash GT500s even more.
