And old cars were being raced in the 1980s, so someone will possibly remember the old layout in an old car! Maybe not on here, though....

I've raced there once in recent years, and the car was pulling 7.3K on the straight even with the chicanes. Scary when the normal change point is 6.5K.... I remember at Le Castellet the same year we were asked if we wanted to race with or without the chicane half way down the straight. For the same reason as Monza the unanimous decision was 'with', even though it was hard on brakes and disrupted the flow!
