Although it had it's moments, I wouldn't look back on the early to mid 00s too favourably. Grooved tyres, too many winglets, only about 20 cars on the grid, too much Schumacher dominating and refuelling took away from the action on the track.
That said the tyre war could mix things up and the no tyre change rule in 05 made races more fun to watch, especially in the closing laps. Certainly better than multiple tyre stops
