Because the Falcon isn’t something you can buy at the dealer today, difficult to leverage companies into buying them for their fleets because you can’t, and the Ford boys & girls are already complaining that the ZB aero is better, so they may have to homologate yet another aero configuration for FG/X (which costs money..) when a change in bodyshape to a car currently being sold likely isn’t that much more of a stretch.
DJRTP and Symbol (the race ream formerly known as Prodrive, FPR and stuff..) have strong dealer links, with factory owned/blessed Ford retailers, who would also be aware that a Falcon winning might not see a jump in Mondeo sales.
Murray Carter wasn’t exactly swimming in factory millions when he helped homologate the XD all those years ago, what’s different here?
