What I found interesting was how the top 2 cars achieved their laptimes which appeared to be quite different. Whincup looked to be running less DF giving him that top speed advantage but was visibly less stable in the high speed corners compared to Scott. That looks after tyres better which also explains why they only changed 2 tyres for Scott and 4 for Whincup.
