If any of you have ever thought that 'Stowe' was just a corner name at Silverstone - think again.
On Friday evening, July 30th, Stowe House hosts the scrutineering of cars that will compete in the BRDC 500 recreation at nearby Silverstone the following day.
Forty pre war machines will line-up in front of the mansion, situated between Silverstone and Buckingham, at just after 6pm for scrutineering, while a jazz band plays, and hot air balloons float off into the Buckinghamshire sky.
If any of you ten-tenths readers live close by, I suggest you pop along to have a look.
The pre war racers have a dress code to attend - Jacket and Tie minimum.
