Also not accurate. If there's one thing that's true for touring cars, it's that there's more good drivers than paid drives around. I think most drivers would jump at the chance of getting paid instead of having to pay to race.
Maybe this is a cost-saving move from Honda. If they already have Michigami on a retainer it's one less salary for the company as a whole.
