As the SMMT figutes have just come out, I thought I would take a look at Subaru figures to see if their BTCC involvement has increased sales. They only sold 2,118 cars in the year to date (Sept 17) which was 24% down on the same period last year. I was curious as recently the 2nd dealer group locally to have a stab at the Subaru franchise gave it up after about a year, with not much to show for it, so they appear to be a hard sell for whatever reason, price, emissions??
MG, by the way mustered up 3,321 sales to date - more or less the same as the same period last year.
The old adage used to be race on Sunday, sell on Monday, I wonder if that still holds true?
