Ekstrom raced the 2021 Dakar this year with a SSV Yamaha. He did a good learning race. Few weeks ago he raced in Andalucia Rally with the Mini Buggy and he won in 2WD category and finished in a good 5th overall. Anyway this race in Spain was more like a baja rally, speedy and with low navigation
Tomorrow Ekstrom will start the Kazakistan Rally with the buggy, a demanding cross country rally with a lot of sand and navigation. Let's see what he has learned from this year Dakar experience
