And some Post Chiefs also rotate their team (particularly trainees) to give you a chance to do incident and flags on the same day. When I started a few years ago, this happened at Thruxton, Castle Combe and Mallory.
As for chucking a blue flag, since I now own a nice set of flags (thanks Chigley!), I try not to do that anymore
