Even in Hakkinen's title-challenging days McLaren were always undermined by reliability problems. Ron Dennis's cars are fast first, reliable second. Ferrari did it the other way round - hardly any retirements during the Schumacher v Hakkinen years but a bit behind in raw pace terms. McLaren need to get it sorted because surely Raikkonen should have romped away to the title last year.
