I've been amazed at the suspension of the 908. Saw it for several years at the Petit and the way that it could go over a curb at speed and keeping the car level and balanced was impressive.
Here are a couple of photos I shot in 2011. In the first, everything is 'normal'. In the 2nd photo, the 908 came flying down the short straight between 5 and 6 and ran up on a back-marker and had to stomp on the brakes!
What I saw was the front end squat down with the front tires pointing outwards like a snowskier trying to scrub speed. What I thought I saw was the car bending in the middle and the rear tires taking on an interesting angle.
It may be an optical illusion but I think I witnessed technological magic.
