An average of 5.3 million viewers in the UK watched the season finale (I think that's an average figure, judging by the context of the rest of the article although I'm not sure), while TF1 got 4.4 million viewers (average?) with a peak of 5.6 million. It would be good to know if the French audience has been as strong throughout the year.

As the UK and France have similar populations, this shows a large Formula 1 fanbase in France. Why does it not have a Grand Prix?
