I can see synergies between the two operations with some staff loosing their jobs. In recent times Autosport has become too F1 focused where as Motorsport.com has a broader coverage.

Because, sadly, that's what sells. Whenever a non-F1 story was on the front cover, the circulation dropped.
Hopefully, they'll realise that F1 isn't the be all & end all of Motorsport.
