The only real positive thing they did was making the rear wing higher and lowering the front wing. The wider front wing hasn't done much nor has making the rear wing narrower.
If they had kept the widths the same as the 2008 regs, but made the rear wing higher and lowered the front, then put restrictions on the number and size of elements in the rear wing, I think we may have seen better results. Of course, you would have to twin this with making the cars wider and having wider rear tyres, though ive been saying that since they made the switch in 1998.
