For an alternative perspective, I camped at the track last year in the field they opened up for tents, plenty of space, no generators, no problems with loud drunks and a nice friendly atmosphere.
It was even warm enough overnight but this being England in May that can be a bit hit and miss.
Just be prepared for a long wait to get out because the campsite exit is single file into the main car park field, there was another unofficial exit from the camping field but after watching a group of lads trying to extract a beached Fiesta we decided to walk round the pits until the queue cleared.
