My Race Director at the weekend, Charles, along with his deputy Michael, incorporate "Local" protocols within their usual standard way of doing things.
For example, in N America, the "Green Flag Lap" doesn't normally have Green Flags waving! So, for the avoidance of confusing many local Marshals, it's not done! The drivers had already had 5 hours of track time prior to the race so were probably aware of where the flag points were anyway!
