To be honest with you guys, I think this is great news. Personally I like Sato - and it's always good to see a fresh face. Plus I love Japan - so i'm naturally quite alligned to this team.
It's very likely that they won't be competitive. Not yet anyway, but you have to admire what they have do at Super Aguri. Ide seems competant enough, he's no Schumacher or Alonso - but from what i've heard/seen he can drive a racing car.
As for Sato - well, I firmly believe that under the crazy exterior - therein lies a good driver. I think he's a little gem, a character - and F1 needs him. Relational to his compatriots, he is probably the best Grand Prix driver Japan has ever produced. On his day, he can be amazing.
