Sorry to dig this up, but at Sebring in 2001, the Champion Audi was shifting though the gears faster than the Joest cars were. Champion's shift pattern was similar to what Audi Sport would adopt for the R8 and the Bentley Speed 8 in 2003 onwards.
IMO, that's unusual given how much Audi Sport sort of micromanaged things with privateer teams.
