It's hard to predict accurately since the driver's get a bonus point for pole or leading a lap, and 2 points for leading the most laps. and all this could come down to a point, or a tie breaker like last year.
But....if Will Power gets maximum bonus points and wins the race, Pagenaud can win the championship by finishing 4th. If Will gets maximum bonuses and finishes 2nd, Simon can capture the championship by finishing 9th.
If Power doesn't finish 5th or better, Pagenaud takes it as long as he shows up for the race, so even if Simon drops out in the first lap, Will would still have to finish at least 5th to win the championship. If there turns out to be a tie and Power doesn't win or come 2nd, then Pagenaud gets the championship based on having one more 2nd place finish during the season (both have 4 wins).
