Don't know about Volvo. With them entering WTCC it does not make sense on the short term. They also seem to have no interest in promoting the smaller V40.

Well the thing is in WTCC the market to sell those cars are extremely small, they might sell 2-4 tops to customers. While in TCR they cant even race the cars themselves, they have to sell them to customers to race them. And isnt that quite a coincidence, Volvo pulled out from STCC as a factory team this year, instead having WCR running the cars, might we see TCR cars in STCC next year, what is the bet on Polestar building the factory Volvos while WCR races them as a customer team? The cost of developing a TCR volvo would be nowhere near the cost of developing the WTCC Volvo.

Just a thought...
