A spec series ends up with something like IndyCar surely? I always have a weird feeling that when I'm watching a spec series talent is being wasted. This weekend I'm at the IMechE Formula Student and some of the engineering talent on show is impressive, all sorts of weird and wonderful ideas! A spec series kills that deader than the dodo.
