GTE/GTLM cars have more down force and better tires than GT3 (GTD) cars. They also have less drag and more things they can adjust to take advantage of the unique track design at Daytona.
The old GTD cars (before the full FIA GT3 homologation) were faster than GTE/GTLM cars on the straights/banking at Daytona.
