GRC isn't part of X Games anymore. It will surprise many - inc. me - that it is now big enough not to need X Games plus too many logistical (stadium) and practical (non-Championship only at X Games) to make sense.
Despite my earlier cynicism GRC is pulling very good TV numbers in the US. It's audience is bigger than F1 and often matches IndyCar. Of course light years behind NASCAR.
JB's rallycross plans have been in the works for over a year. He was looking at having his own team but not sure where that sits now. Honda is the obvious fit if he is on 'sabbatical' from F1. Also OMSE is very professional and I know Chunder is not a fan but Andreas has a vision and delivers upon it. IIRC Marcus and Jenson have crossed paths in the past as well.
On the subject of Marcus there was recently a FB post with the hashtag #msport. I haven't spoken to him recently but has he moved on from OMSE to their arch enemy?
