The way that the exit negotiations appear to be going make that almost impossible to answer. There are still too many "if and buts" in what will possibly be a very long and drawn out process, and if the EU directive is implemented before the UK is fully out, then it may well have to be incorporated into UK law.

However, things rarely get settled quickly in the EU, and as has been suggested in another thread on this subject, there are many vested interests throughout Europe who will not want to see this come into being. I would suggest that companies such as Mercedes, VAG, Ferrari and so on will be putting huge pressure on their respective governments to make sure that it doesn't affect their projects.

Can you imagine the cost to private individuals who would need to find an insurance policy with unlimited liability payments so that they can continue to cut their grass with a mower? Or a farmer with a small holding that just about keeps the family financially afloat who will be able to afford such a policy?
