Ricardo Londono Bridge (aka London Bridge) was a Columbian who made his way through IMSA, Can-Am, F2, UK F1 to gaining an entry for Ensign at the 1981 Brazilian GP as a pay driver (he was funded by and connected to suppliers of "local Columbian produce"
)
His Championship F1 career was short, his Superlicence revoked after taking Keke Rosberg out in practice at the Brazilian GP. (Although Rosberg had brake tested him). It is suggested BE discovered the source of his sponsorship and his association with Cartels and Pablo Escobar. Londono was the first Colombian driver to have taken part in a Formula One GP race weekend.
He was shot dead in a drug cartel 'hit' in 2009.
