I'm not sure how anyone can come to the conclusion that Lotterer was below par last year - I disagree, but it can be argued in isolation - while Duval wasn't, when he was easily the slowest driver of his car last year, and if not for Treluyer he would have been the slowest Audi driver overall.
Back on topic, Porsche more or less matched Toyota for race pace with their LD setup on a high-downforce track. While they should be disappointed with the result (had the #1 had shadowed the #8 then at worst they could have pincered the Toyota at the end), the race-running of the LM-spec aero and the speed on old tyres are encouraging.
