The original proposal from a couple of years ago was to have the road course dodge the drag strip by going around the old Gloweave corner at the top of the straight and then rejoining the strip past the timing boards.
There was also talk of extending the track down past turn 1 closer to Calder Park Drive and running around the Power Pylons down there to get the extra length.
