Going to the other end of the extreme, the Aston Martin DBR1/1 was knocked-down for $22.6 million at RM Sotheby's last night, a world record price paid for a British car.
Also, $616,000 (about twice estimate) was paid for DBR9/9, a car that ended its racing career as a pile of junk.
Maybe that Escort isn't such a bad deal after all...
