Steven Johnson's only "failure" (for want of a better word) was that he was too loyal to DJR, he could have had his pick of a number of drives elsewhere in the mid-2000s if he wanted.
When you come SJ's results to that of his teammates over the years, you'll see he was anything but a failure in the main game.
The likes of Johnson, Bowe, Seton, Richards etc... possibly are 'too good' for TCM, but isn't the whole category in many ways built on the heritage these drivers were a part of and celebrating that era? And many of the drivers on the grid i'm sure are attracted to the class with the likes of Johnson and Bowe on the grid, rather than turned off because it might lesson their chance of a win (Isn't that why they have three classes in TCM anyway?)
