No. IMHO it would not change their viewpoint! Problem with AM, Jaguar, Lister and others is that (to simplify) the cars they sell today share the original name, but the company has changed ownership several times. I know Ferrari were 50% bought by Fiat in 1969, but Enzo was still in charge until his death in 1988. Nowadays it is at least 90% a stand alone company.
