Exactly that, if they think the casual fan will take WEC over PWC, the FIA has their usual delusional thinking going. PWC is good about local ads for their events, they have had digital billboard ads the past 3 years for their race with Indy car at Barber on the south side of Atlanta, 175 miles away. And they have the advantage of being first. WEC will be outdrawn by BAD hs football teams a couple weeks into football season, and their usual season schedule makes the move to a spring race impossible. And F1 being there in the fall as well can't help the attendance, although F1 probably costs more than all the sportscar events combined.
