Mclaren, they're starting off in the roadcar business, they'll produce cars for suitable series, i.e GTE and GT3.
What they both have in common is they prioritise F1, unlike VAG, Peugeot etc., they've shown little inclination to put together a major factory program to win Le Mans.
Mclaren's '95 win was a result of the sport being on it's backside, it was a huge bonus for a customer program.

what I ment as if Ferrari and McLaren were to aproach ACO about a future LMP1 programe, I am preaty sure their imput would be weighed heavily, for the simple reason that they bring cash and popularitiy to the sport, same as porsche does.

To launch a new FIA GT2 category based on strict technical rules, with limited wavers and ‘balance of performance' limited to success ballast. A category where GT manufacturers will prove through competition they can produce the best road going GT car.
