This. Although I'm not sure that they are back to allowing downloads for free. Not checked for a while.

That does assume the card is still readable. In most cases they are but sometimes not. If it is a decent recent card you would be very unlucky to have it fail. Incredibly unlucky for that to happen between the end of the trip and arrival at home.

I can probably find a disk with the software on if it helps but there are also other sources of such things these days.

Silly thought I know but probably worth checking that the lock is not on.

Also how it is formatted and how you are seeking to read from it may be influential.

Whatever you do DO NOT reformat it!
