Am I correct in assuming that turn 8 is currently the fastest corner used in Australian circuit racing? I realise that the Chase at Bathurst would be quicker, but as far as I can see, there are not over huge cornering loads on that one. Turn 8 is a true corner(ie on the gas on the way out), combined with visibility issues.

I find it surprising that people are blamibg the corner for the carnage... surely there is nothing intrinsicly dangerous about the corner apart from the apparent inability of some drivers to judge their own capabilities....
