Agreed. Allegedly MPC, Teckno and Eggelstones are at the forefront of it whipping up the revolt.
Streaming plays a bigger role in major sporting codes year on year - as shown by WRC, NRL, AFL digital platforms increasing in value & quantity each year.
Not saying it's the equal of live television yet but in a cost vs benefit discussion it's a worthy debate, especially for a fledgling category like AGT.
The Bathurst 12 hour has shown the numbers you can attract domestically & internationally via streaming. Add to that the numbers attracted via SBS speedweek and again it's a worthy debate.
Maybe AGT management should engage an independent marketing / sponsorship consultant to look at the value with both options.
I do wonder how much perceived sponsor value through Foxtel is about some individuals/teams being associated to the v8 scene
