Denosaur,
The Reims-Gueux circuit in France is remarkable for having the old pits, control tower and grandstand still intact (the grandstand only just) when the last race there was in 1972. It was the venue for several French Grand Prix, including Fangio's first European race and his last, as well as many other legends from Ascari to Von Trips, via Hawthorne, Surtees (who will hold the lap record for ever) and anyone else you can mention from that era. To stand in the pits, which are in the old 'opera box' style, as something old and powerful goes past is a true petrol head experience!
You still can drive the circuit, which was originally on closed public roads.

The buildings have been restored by Les Amis du Circuit de Gueux, whose site includes many pics, and deserve a contribution for their work if you want to use one!
