He's a bit better in the races though isn't he? But yeah that qualifying stat doesn't look good for his 1 lap pace does it.
I wouldn't call Mexico a race of attrition though. Sainz, Ericsson, Hartley were all behind him anyway (and Massa). The only positions he picked up were Hulk and Dan.
