My interpretation of the Effenbert message on the WorldSBK website is that it's merely Guintoli's mechanics who've left, but that doesn't explain why the team didn't simply use the spare mechanics they had running Brett McCormick earlier in the season, or shuffle Berger aside for the short term? Is this linked to the controversy from the team over the Monza fiasco? I guess there's a lot more to come from this.

A shame for BMW to withdraw when they're making such progress, leaving two impressive riders out of a ride for 2013 as it stands.
